HR Technology Project Manager

Terms of Employment:

• W2 Contract-to-Hire, Six Months

• This position is 100% remote.

Overview & Responsibilities:

Work with a leading professional services firm’s Talent Technology team to drive internal HRIS initiatives. This role is not about external client delivery; it is about supporting the internal "people" side of the business by managing projects that optimize how the firm uses Workday and other talent platforms. You will bridge the gap between technical teams and HR business leaders.

You will…

• Lead the planning and execution of medium to complex HR technology projects, focusing on Workday HCM, Performance, and Benefits.

• Develop project plans and maintain RAID logs (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions) using Smartsheet.

• Facilitate weekly project team meetings and provide status reports to leadership every Friday.

• Partner with HR business partners to translate functional requirements into structured project milestones.

• Manage project intake and ensure all decisions are highly visible to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Project Management experience.

• Proven experience within the HR domain (Talent, Payroll, Benefits, or HRIS).

• Hands-on experience using Workday HCM from a PM perspective.

• Strong experience with Waterfall project management methodologies.

• Ability to manage up to 6 projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication skills for navigating a matrixed corporate structure.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Smartsheet and ServiceNow.

• PMP Certification.

• Experience with change management and socializing system updates to users.
