We are seeking a Cyber Hygiene Engineer to drive two high-priority security platform initiatives. The primary mission is leading the onboarding and implementation of the Wiz cloud security platform across our Azure and AWS environments. Alongside Wiz, this person will play a key role in modernizing our vulnerability management program by helping transition from Tenable VM/WAS to Tenable ONE—including exposure management configuration, cloud security connector onboarding, and triage automation. This role may be filled as part of a two-person hire; a single candidate is not expected to carry every responsibility listed below. Experience helping organizations secure their adoption of AI and AI-adjacent tooling is a valued bonus.

Primary Responsibilities – Wiz Implementation

Build integrations between Wiz and the operational stack—Jira for finding triage

Define RBAC, notification routing, and executive dashboards; develop runbooks and training materials for sustainable adoption.

Serve as the internal Wiz subject-matter expert and primary vendor liaison throughout the onboarding phase.

Core Responsibilities – Tenable ONE Modernization

Support the transition from Tenable VM/WAS to Tenable ONE, including exposure management and scorecard configuration, cloud security onboarding

Tune scanning strategy (credentialed vs. non-credentialed), manage cloud connectors (AWS, Azure), and formalize asset tagging for environment and ownership tracking.

Build and refine the Tenable-to-Jira integration for automated finding triage; align vulnerability prioritization logic (VPR, CVSS, EPSS) with the team’s remediation workflows.

Develop operational runbooks for weekly vulnerability review, connector health checks, and credentialed scan governance.

Additional Responsibilities

Build automations (Python, PowerShell, Bash, Windmill) to reduce manual security operations toil across the Cyber Hygiene portfolio.

Required Qualifications

3+ years in cybersecurity operations, cloud security, or security engineering.

Hands-on experience with the Wiz platform (deployment, cloud connectors, policy management) and/or Tenable products (http://Tenable.io , Tenable ONE, Nessus).

Proficiency with AWS, including cloud connector configuration and cloud-native security services.

Experience building vulnerability management workflows: scanning strategy, prioritization frameworks (VPR/CVSS/EPSS), and integration with ticketing systems.
