This client requires a Senior Tableau Developer to be the visualization and dashboard authority. You will work closely with economists and policy analysts to translate complex statistical models into intuitive, high-performance Tableau workbooks. This role demands mastery of Tableau's advanced features, deep data modelling skills, and the ability to define and enforce analytical governance practises in a secure government environment.

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex, high-impact Tableau dashboards and stories used for executive decision-making and public reporting.
• Architect and optimise Tableau data sources (artefacts) and data models (e.g., star schema, custom SQL) to ensure fast load times and reliable performance across the organization.

• Develop highly sophisticated calculations, Level of Detail (LOD) expressions, and parameters in Tableau to address complex policy and statistical analytical requirements.
• Collaborate closely with data engineering teams to define data requirements, ensure data quality, and integrate secure data sources (e.g., SQL Server, Azure Synapse).
• Define and enforce visualisation standards and governance practises across the Tableau Server/Online environment, including managing user access, licences, and content deployment programmes.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior analysts and business stakeholders on data literacy, Tableau best practises, and effective dashboard consumption.
• Perform rigorous testing and validation of data within Tableau dashboards against source systems to ensure 100% accuracy for government reporting.

• 6+ years of professional experience as a BI/Data Visualization specialist, with at least 3 years operating as a Senior Tableau Developer in an enterprise environment.
• Expert-level proficiency with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Online, including advanced knowledge of data blending, performance optimisation, and administrative tasks.
