Lead daily operations of a secure data center supporting classified workloads, ensuring continuous system availability and compliance with security policies.
Perform Tier 2–3 troubleshooting and oversee preventive maintenance across servers, storage platforms, and networking infrastructure.
Manage physical infrastructure activities including rack-and-stack deployments, structured cabling, environmental monitoring, and power distribution coordination.
Supervise on-site technical personnel and coordinate with systems, network, cybersecurity, and facilities teams to resolve operational issues.
Serve as COMSEC Custodian, maintaining accountability and compliance for government-issued cryptographic materials.
Act as Major Incident Manager during outages or high-severity events, leading response coordination and root-cause investigations.
Maintain asset inventories, lifecycle documentation, and configuration records using enterprise service management platforms.
Support compliance initiatives aligned with frameworks such as DISA STIG, FedRAMP, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
Prepare for and support inspections, audits, and customer site visits.
Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders to ensure infrastructure reliability and performance optimization.
*Required Qualifications*
Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
15+ years supporting enterprise or classified data center operations
Hands-on experience with:
VMware vSphere / ESXi environments
Windows and Linux server administration
Enterprise storage platforms (e.g., Dell EMC or similar)
Cisco and/or Palo Alto networking technologies
Monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds, Splunk, or comparable tools
Strong experience with incident, change, and configuration management processes
Prior support of classified government environments or cleared infrastructure facilities
Ability to complete required COMSEC training within six months of hire
*Preferred Qualifications*
Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, CDCFM, or equivalent)
IT service governance certifications (ITIL v4, COBIT)
Security or networking certifications (Security+, Network+, or similar)
Familiarity with power and cooling infrastructure (UPS, CRAC units, PDUs, BMS systems)
Experience leading major incident response efforts
Demonstrated leadership within 24x7 operations environments
