Systems Administrator - Night Shift Migration Specialist (Contract)

Position: Systems Administrator

Location: Oklahoma City, OK - Onsite training first two weeks, then remote nights

Start Date: ASAP - Interview availability this week

Duration: 6 month contract

Must Haves:

• 3 to 5 years of Systems Administration or Infrastructure experience
• Comfort working overnight shifts
• Strong hands‑on VMware ESXi or similar, experience
• Experience working with hypervisors or virtualization platforms
• Experience executing migrations in live environments
• General systems administration and server operations background
• Basic networking knowledge

Plusses:

• Experience with Spectro Cloud
• Experience with any KVM based platforms
• Proxmox
• KVM
• Nutanix AHV
• Windows server exposure
• Retail, logistics, or uptime‑critical environment experience
• High attention to detail in production systems
• Certifications preferred

Day to Day:

• Support store replatforming initiatives
• Migrate store infrastructure off VMware ESXi to Spectro Cloud
• Execute predefined migration runbooks
• Place systems into maintenance mode during migrations
• Move and convert virtual machines between platforms
• Monitor systems during overnight cutovers
• Troubleshoot issues in real time during migrations
• Work with teams supporting stores across the country
• Follow strict procedures where downtime is unacceptable

Work Schedule:

First 2 weeks Training

• Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Onsite training in OKC office

After training

• Monday through Friday: 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM
• Fully remote night shifts

Travel:

• Onsite in Oklahoma City for first two weeks only
• No travel required once night shifts begin

Interview Process:

• 30 minute virtual interviews
• Interview availability this week

Compensation:

$40/hr to $45/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
