- Knowledge and experience with ANY programming and scripting languages
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Scripting, Automation, Comparable Linux Scripting
- Data Architecture Experience
LIMS / Labvantage or any other laboratory information management system experience is required.
Job Description
- Monitoring system performance and identifying problems that arise.
- Responding in a timely manner to user-reported errors.
- Protecting the database against threats or unauthorized access.
- Ensuring that the database is adequately backed up and able to be recovered in the event of memory loss.
- Reporting on metrics regarding usage and performance.
- Suggesting changes and improvements for database maintenance or protection.
- Regularly liaising with IT project managers and database programmers.
- Designing databases with both front-end and back-end users in mind.
- Collaborates with Development to identify and provide optimal cloud solutions.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Scripting, Automation, Comparable Linux Scripting
- Build database systems of high availability and quality.
- Design and implement databases according to business and compliance requirements.
- Develops and maintains data solutions in accordance with best practices.
- Identifies, analyzes, and resolves database application deployment issues.
- Performs reviews of existing systems and makes recommendations for improvements.
- Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses.
- Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.
