Job Description:
We're recruiting a Technical IT Director for one of North America's leading controlled environment agriculture (CEA) companies. This is a ground-floor leadership role managing enterprise systems and technology operations for a major new facility launching in Groningen, Netherlands.
The role:
You'll be the first IT leader on-site, reporting to the Chief Information and Technology Officer. Your focus: implementing Acumatica ERP, integrating regulatory compliance systems, and building the technology foundation for European expansion into Germany, Switzerland, and Spain.
This isn't a typical IT support role - you'll own enterprise architecture, lead API/integration development, and supervise 3rd party desk support.
What you'll own:
- Acumatica ERP leadership and optimization (5+ years hands-on required)
- API & integration architecture (REST, GraphQL, MuleSoft/Snaplogic experience valued)
- Regulatory compliance system integration (track-and-trace, audit trails, data integrity)
- IT operations management and 3rd party vendor supervision
- Enterprise technology roadmap for the Netherlands facility and regional expansion
- Cross-timezone collaboration with Vancouver HQ and future European sites

About you:
You're a hands-on technical leader with 5+ years of Acumatica implementation experience. You think like an enterprise architect - designing scalable, resilient systems across regions and time zones. You've built APIs, managed integration frameworks, and led teams/contractors with confidence.
You're comfortable in regulated industries (compliance, audit requirements, data governance). You understand the difference between a quick fix and a maintainable solution. You communicate clearly across stakeholders and thrive in a fast-moving environment where requirements evolve.
