Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data processing pipelines. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python, SQL, ETL processes, Azure & Databricks. You will collaborate closely with Data Scientists to ensure data integration, quality and support advanced analytics.

Required:

• +3 years of experience with Python, SQL (Joins, Group By, subqueries, and temporary tables), Apache Spark, Azure (Data Factory and Databricks), and DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Results-oriented and proactive, with the ability to drive change in fast-paced, unstructured environments.
• Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills.

🗣️ English C1.

📍 100% remote from Spain (legal and physical residence in Spain)

Role & Responsibilities

• Implement and manage cloud data storage systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and provide suitable solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
• Automate data ingestion, cleaning, and transformation processes.
• Monitor the performance of data systems and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Optimizing performance and scalability of Big Data solutions.
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
