Established in 1998, Katherine West Health Board is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation that provides a range of clinical, preventative and public health services to clients in the Katherine West Region of the Northern Territory. With four major health care centres and a range of satellite centres, KWHB services an area over two times the size of Tasmania (162,000km²), helping to improve the health and wellbeing of some of the most remote communities in Australia.

Step into a high-impact leadership role

Reporting to the Executive Manager Corporate Services, you will lead KWHB’s digital, asset, accommodation, travel, logistics and procurement functions, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operations across the organisation.


More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leading the development and continuous improvement of systems, processes and frameworks across digital, assets and logistics
  • Overseeing ICT services, digital infrastructure and vendor performance to ensure security, reliability and value for money
  • Managing information systems and governance, including data, records, privacy and security
  • Overseeing lifecycle management of fleet, infrastructure, ICT and operational assets
  • Directing asset operations and capital works, including maintenance and infrastructure projects
  • Leading housing and accommodation services to support workforce needs across the region
  • Optimising travel and logistics to support safe and efficient remote operations
  • Overseeing procurement and contract management across operational services
  • Building team capability and driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Providing strategic advice on risk, service delivery and operational priorities


What you’ll bring to community

You will bring a range of operational management experience and ideally a tertiary qualification in ICT, Business or a related field. Experience working in a remote or complex operational environment will be essential.


Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • ICT and information management experience, including governance, systems, cyber security and networking
  • Strong asset and fleet management experience, including lifecycle planning
  • Experience managing travel, accommodation and logistics in complex environments
  • Project management experience, with the ability to lead change and improve systems
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, compliance, privacy and WHS requirements
  • Experience managing contracts and external service providers
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities


You are a practical and grounded leader who brings structure to complexity. You communicate clearly, think methodically and take a proactive, solutions-focused approach to improving systems and supporting teams.
