What will you do as a Senior Software Engineer with practical DevOps experience?
As a Senior Software Engineer with practical DevOps experience, you design and develop high-quality software (C++ and C) for complex embedded systems, working closely with both hardware and software. As a senior, you take ownership of DevOps deliverables, driving CI/CD improvements and automation of build, test, and deployment processes. You ensure technical quality and reliable delivery while supporting your team in adopting strong DevOps practices.
Your responsibilities as a Senior Software Engineer with practical DevOps experience
- Design, implement, and verify subsystems, modules, and components within complex embedded systems
- Write efficient and maintainable code in C++ and C
- Integrate software into complex hardware and software systems
- Apply Object-Oriented Programming, UML, unit testing, and modern design principles
- Initiate and implement improvements in the team’s DevOps way of working
- As a Senior Software Engineer (C++ and C) you take ownership of the DevOps-related deliverables
- Set up, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines (build, test, release)
- Automate build, test, and deployment processes to minimize manual work and errors (Python)
- Support and guide colleagues in DevOps principles and practices (knowledge sharing and coaching)
- Taking ownership of the team’s technical quality and delivery reliability
- Collaborating with developers, architects, testers, and operations to improve end‑to‑end delivery

What Do You Bring as a Senior Software Engineer with practical DevOps experience?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in (Technical) Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or similar
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer in a high-tech or embedded environment
- Strong programming skills in C++ and C.
- Experience with OOP, unit testing, Agile methodologies, and software design principles
- Experience with optimization, setting up or maintaining CI/CD and build environments is required
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a strong plus
