Contract Duration: 12 Months (with possibility of extension)

About the Role

This role is for a Product Owner responsible for managing Oracle HCM modules, including Payroll, Absence, and Time & Labor, along with some internal back-of-house systems. The position operates within a large Agile team of approximately 10+ members and requires ownership of both new enhancements and ongoing platform improvements.

The Product Owner will act as a bridge between business stakeholders, technical/development teams, and internal teams, ensuring that business needs are translated into delivered solutions.

This is a hybrid role that combines project-based work with continuous improvement and support responsibilities. The role involves managing Oracle releases, handling compliance and regulatory updates, and maintaining and improving the system. It is not a purely project-focused role and requires an ongoing ownership mindset across the product lifecycle, including enhancements, upgrades, and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Strong experience as a Product Owner working within Agile/Scrum environments
  • Experience with sprint planning, backlog management, and JIRA
  • Experience working with large Agile teams
  • Functional knowledge of HCM or ERP systems
  • Preferred: Oracle HCM
  • Acceptable: Other ERP systems such as Workday or SAP
  • Understanding of Payroll, Absence, and Time & Labor modules (functional knowledge required, not deep technical expertise)
  • Ability to handle ambiguity, make decisions, prioritize effectively, and guide stakeholders when requirements are not clearly defined
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work with offshore teams (including India)
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
  • Retail or QSR domain experience is a plus
  • Direct Oracle HCM experience is a strong advantage

Responsibilities

  • Act as the central point of coordination between business stakeholders, technical teams, and internal teams
  • Own the product and ensure alignment between business needs and delivered solutions
  • Manage product activities across the full lifecycle, including definition, planning, development, release, and maintenance
  • Handle both project/enhancement work and continuous improvement/support activities
  • Drive new features, business-driven improvements, and Oracle HCM enhancements
  • Manage Oracle releases, compliance updates, and regulatory changes
  • Maintain and continuously improve the system and platform
  • Participate in Agile processes, including sprint planning and backlog management
  • Work closely with teams to support product development, testing, quality, and release processes
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members to provide updates, gather feedback, and guide execution
  • Support ongoing modifications, upgrades, and maintenance of the product or product line
  • Build and maintain stable internal working relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Follow established practices and procedures to address routine problems and tasks, while seeking guidance when needed
