Vulnerability Remediation Analyst
100% Remote, working EST or CST hours
6 month, contract hire

CDW is looking for a Vulnerability Remediation Analyst to play a key role in strengthening and maintaining our organization’s security posture. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in vulnerability management, patching, and security analysis who enjoys working across teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate security risks.
You’ll be responsible for driving vulnerability remediation efforts end-to-end—partnering with system owners, engineering teams, and security stakeholders to ensure timely and effective risk mitigation.
Responsibilities:
- Perform vulnerability scanning and assessment across systems and infrastructure
- Analyze and correlate vulnerability data from multiple sources to determine risk and impact
- Prioritize vulnerabilities using frameworks such as CVSS and CWE
- Drive remediation efforts by partnering with system and application owners
- Track vulnerabilities through ticketing systems and ensure timely resolution
- Support and maintain patch management processes across Windows, Linux, and other environments
- Monitor and report on remediation progress, trends, and risk posture
- Interpret security advisories, threats, and exploitation techniques
- Assist in deployment and configuration of vulnerability scanning tools and assessments
- Document remediation steps and provide guidance to technical teams

Required experience:
- Experience in vulnerability management, patch management, and configuration management
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Qualys, Rapid7, or Tenable Nessus
- Strong understanding of vulnerability scoring and classification (CVSS, CWE)
- Knowledge of current threats, exploitation techniques, and security best practices
- Experience patching and securing Windows and Linux systems
- Ability to analyze security findings and translate them into actionable remediation plans
- Strong organizational skills with experience tracking work across multiple systems or projects
- Ability to work independently and drive initiatives with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
