Lead Azure Engineer | Fully Remote | $120,000 – $160,000 DOE
We're back in the market with another great opportunity. Following strong interest in our Azure Architect search, Locke Staffing Group is now partnering with a leading healthcare organisation to find a talented Lead Azure Engineer — fully remote, excellent comp, and a genuinely interesting technical environment.
The Role
You'll be the hands-on technical lead driving the build, deployment, and optimisation of Azure infrastructure across a complex healthcare environment. This is a role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail while also being able to guide and mentor those around them.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the design and deployment of Azure infrastructure solutions
- Managing and mentoring a team of cloud engineers
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Implementing infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM
- Ensuring cloud environments meet healthcare compliance and security standards
- Monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement
- Collaborating closely with architects and stakeholders to deliver on cloud strategy

What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of hands-on Azure engineering experience
- Previous experience in a lead or senior engineering role
- Strong knowledge of Azure services — AKS, Azure DevOps, Azure Networking, Azure Monitor
- Solid IaC skills — Terraform, Bicep, or ARM
- Experience working in regulated industries, healthcare a strong plus
- Azure certifications desirable (AZ-104, AZ-400 or equivalent)
- A natural mentor who can bring junior engineers along on the journey
