The Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with Rust experience to join our Network and collaborate with a high-performance engineering organization building mission-critical systems in a fast-paced, real-time environment.
In this role, you will take full ownership of features end-to-end, from design and development to deployment and production support. You will work on systems that power live, high-impact platforms, where performance, reliability, and precision are essential.
This is a long-term, full-time remote opportunity where you’ll work closely with a globally distributed team, contribute to core systems, and play a key role in shaping engineering practices and technical direction.
Main responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems using Rust
- Take full ownership of features from initial concept through production deployment
- Build and maintain robust, scalable REST APIs
- Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Collaborate directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and troubleshoot issues
- Identify opportunities for automation and improve workflows through tooling and scripting
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and reliability
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions within a distributed team
- Support and improve production systems, ensuring stability and responsiveness

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, delivering production-ready features independently
- Strong proficiency in Rust (or willingness and ability to quickly ramp up)
- Solid experience with REST API design and development (authentication, versioning, error handling)
- Strong experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices
- Hands-on experience with Git-based workflows (GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps) and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working in cloud environments (Azure preferred)
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivered solutions
- Ability to work autonomously and drive tasks to completion
- Experience collaborating with distributed teams across multiple time zones
- Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
Nice to have
- Experience building or working with high-performance or real-time systems
- Familiarity with automation tools, scripting, and process optimization
- Exposure to distributed systems and scalable architectures
- Experience interacting directly with end users or business stakeholders
- Background in environments where system reliability and precision are critical
