Job Description
The Bharatiya Vyapar Mission is a long-term national initiative launched by CAIT — the world's largest traders' organisation, with 48,000+ trade associations and 9 crore+ members — in pursuance of the Prime Minister's vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Vocal for Local. The Mission is a sustained, multi-year programme of trade events, business platforms, and market activation drives designed to strengthen India's domestic commerce and expand its global trade footprint.
Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav 2026 — India's largest multi-sectoral trade expo — is the Mission's flagship inaugural event. With 2,000+ exhibitors, 10 lakh+ visitors, 2 lakh+ B2B delegates, and 23 industry zones under one roof, it is India's most ambitious trade platform. Subsequent events under the Mission will follow, creating a permanent, recurring national commerce infrastructure.
This is not a project role. This is a career-defining institutional position at the centre of India's most consequential trade movement.
Role Summary
The Sponsorship Lead – Relationship Manager owns the end-to-end post-sale sponsorship lifecycle for BVM 2026. With 20+ confirmed sponsors across multiple tiers, you will serve as the single point of contact for every sponsor, ensuring contractual deliverables are fulfilled on time and to specification, while building relationships that maximise sponsor satisfaction, open upsell opportunities, and lay the groundwork for multi-year partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Sponsor Relationship Management
- Act as the dedicated relationship manager for all confirmed sponsors; serve as their primary interface with the BVM organising team.
- Conduct structured onboarding for each sponsor: confirm deliverables, timelines, brand guidelines, and escalation paths within the first week of joining.
- Maintain a tiered communication cadence (weekly check-ins for Title/Platinum sponsors, bi-weekly for others) to pre-empt issues and build trust.
- Identify and pursue upsell/cross-sell opportunities within existing sponsor accounts (e.g., add-on branding, speaking slots, delegate passes).

- Manage sponsor asset collection (logos, creatives, AV files, speaker bios) with clear deadlines and follow-up loops.
- Oversee on-ground sponsor setup during the event: booth branding, signage, AV checks, VIP hospitality, and real-time troubleshooting.
Reporting & ROI Communication
- Prepare pre-event status reports and post-event ROI decks for each sponsor, including media impressions, footfall data, social reach, and lead generation metrics.
- Build a Sponsor Satisfaction Scorecard framework to capture feedback systematically and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements
Must-Have
- 2–5 years of experience in sponsorship management, event partnerships, or key account management.
- Demonstrated track record of managing 15+ concurrent sponsor/client accounts in a live events, exhibitions, or conferences environment.
- Strong project management rigour: proficiency with trackers, Gantt charts, and cross-functional coordination.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Hindi.
- Comfortable with high-pressure, deadline-driven environments and on-ground event execution.
- Based in or willing to relocate to New Delhi for the role duration.
