Title: Solution Designer
About the Role
The Solution Designer acts as a vital link between business strategy and technical execution for the Customer Onboarding and Mastering (COM) platform. This position is responsible for translating complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable solution architectures across all COM sub-domains, including Customer Onboarding, Customer Mastering, Identity Verification (IDV), Customer Data Refresh (CDR), and Corporate & Institutional (CI) transformation.
Key Accountabilities
- Solution Design & Architecture: Analyze business requirements and COM systems to design enterprise-grade solutions that balance technical excellence, security, scalability, and business value. Produce design artifacts, architectural diagrams, and technical documentation to guide implementation teams.
- Technical Leadership & Proof of Concept: Apply systems thinking and design methodologies to assess impacts across the COM ecosystem. Lead proof-of-concept builds to validate architectural decisions and reduce implementation risks.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Communicate complex technical concepts and design decisions to diverse audiences including Heads of Technology, Engineering Managers, Product Owners, Tech Leads, Testing Teams, and Technology Executives. Serve as a trusted advisor bridging business and technical domains.
- Platform Advocacy & Strategic Influence: Champion platform-thinking principles by designing reusable, extensible solutions that drive consistency and efficiency. Provide strategic input to Technology Leadership on architectural direction, technical debt, and platform evolution.

Requirements
Must Have
- 10+ years of experience in application design and/or development roles, with 15+ years in Technology overall.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Deep understanding of microservices architecture, including designing and architecting microservices in complex environments.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, including testing automation, AWS cloud, APIs, and microservices.
- Experience with Java and JavaScript frameworks, especially NodeJS or ReactJS.
- Strong solution engineering skills.
- Excellent documentation and English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Solid experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs, microservices-based systems, and Event-Driven Architecture.
- Proven experience in designing large-scale systems.
- Solid experience with Cloud services (AWS/Azure) is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting production services in a DevOps-friendly environment.
