Senior Software Engineer - AI Infrastructure

About the client: Found Recruitment is partnering with an AI-driven robotics company focused on automating physically demanding work in industrial settings. Their robots are built for real-world deployment at scale, and they're growing fast.

The role: They're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build the AI infrastructure that powers their robots — from large-scale model training to production deployment. You'll work across cloud systems, GPU clusters, data pipelines, and on-robot runtime environments to create a high-performance platform.

What you'll do:

• Build and maintain distributed training pipelines (PyTorch, JAX, or similar) across multi-GPU and multi-node clusters
• Architect cloud and on-prem GPU infrastructure across multi-cloud environments
• Build high-throughput data workflows for large-scale dataset ingestion, versioning, and storage

• Optimise training performance end-to-end: CPU-GPU transfers, caching, I/O, containerised environments, and CUDA-level tuning
• Integrate trained models into on-robot inference systems
• Build tooling for data collection, training, and neural network deployment

What you'll need:

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related, 5+ years experience

• Strong C++, Python, and ML frameworks (PyTorch, JAX)
• Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Azure), Kubernetes, containerisation, and GPU provisioning

• Experience profiling and optimising CPU-GPU interactions
