This is a rare opportunity to join in a true founding engineer role, take ownership of a critical part of the platform, and progress into a Head of function position over time as you build out the team. It is a chance to work on genuinely hard technical problems, have real influence from day one, and help shape both the product and the future of the engineering organisation.

The Role

They are hiring a Founding AI Engineer to own one of the most important technical pillars of the business.

This role sits at the centre of the product and combines applied AI, data infrastructure, and production system design. You would be responsible for building an end to end intelligence layer that turns complex, messy, unstructured inputs into reliable systems that customers can trust in high value environments.

This is not a narrow model integration role. It is a broad, high ownership position for someone who wants to build, solve difficult technical problems, and shape a core part of the company from the ground up.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own the end to end design and development of a core AI and data platform pillar
• Build and improve LLM powered extraction systems, agentic workflows, and retrieval based pipelines
• Design scalable, production ready ETL and data architecture
• Create evaluation, validation, and governance frameworks for high stakes AI systems
• Solve complex problems around data quality, orchestration, reliability, and production readiness
• Work directly with founders, engineers, and customers on real world challenges
• Help make foundational technical decisions that will shape the future of the platform and team

Ideal Background

• Strong experience building production systems in Python
• Experience across both AI systems and data infrastructure
