Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using full stack Java technologies within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Develop and support database components utilizing IBM DB2, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration activities to ensure robust application delivery.

• Utilize Git for source control and Jira for work tracking and sprint planning to manage development workflows effectively.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications to optimize performance and reliability.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and recommend improvements to enhance system design and scalability.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications and services supporting PARM processes, including implementing rating logic and data integrations.
• Partner with Product, Actuarial, and Rating teams to interpret rating requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of rating data across policy administration platforms.
• Support PARM-related data ingestion, delivery, and model validation activities.
• Participate in modernization efforts to improve application scalability, maintainability, and performance.

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• Proven experience developing enterprise-level applications with strong knowledge of full stack Java development.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and IntelliJ.
• Experience with RESTful API development.
• Proficiency with IBM DB2, including complex queries and stored procedures.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with Git workflows for version control.
• Experience using Jira for task management and sprint planning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
