Overview:
Telvero is hiring a Reliability Network Engineer on behalf of our client, a service provider delivering high-performance network solutions. This role supports the reliability, performance, and scalability of the client’s network infrastructure, with a focus on network deployment, service turn-ups, and escalation support. You will work closely with Network Operations, Infrastructure, and Sales Engineering teams to ensure consistent delivery of reliable services. While this is a remote role, candidates located in Michigan, Illinois, or Indiana are preferred due to regional alignment.
Responsibilities:
- Provision and activate new fiber access sites and customer services.
- Configure, test, and validate customer-facing network services.
- Implement approved network changes while minimizing risk and downtime.
- Document changes and verify successful implementation.
- Respond to Network Operations Center escalations and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 issues.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex trouble tickets requiring engineering support.
- Maintain network diagrams, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor network performance and proactively address potential issues.
- Partner with Sales Engineering and Project Management to deliver enterprise and E-Rate solutions.
- Collaborate with Tier 2 and Tier 3 engineers on advanced troubleshooting and projects.

Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Juniper networking technologies.
- Solid background in routing and switching.
- Experience with VLAN trunking, Q-in-Q, and tunneling.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a structured, analytical approach.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with GPON and fiber deployments is a plus.
- Juniper JNCIA-Junos, JNCIS-SP, or higher-level certification preferred. Candidates with advanced Juniper certifications may be considered at a higher compensation level.
- Familiarity with MikroTik, Adtran, and ADVA platforms.
- Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, and VPLS.
