2. About the Opportunity:
The HR Generalist - Compliance is responsible for managing a broad range of human resources functions that support the employee experience, including compliance, HR information system maintenance, and employee relations. This role serves as a key resource for employees and managers, helping to align HR practices with organizational goals, ensure legal compliance, and foster a positive workplace culture. The position contributes strategically to workforce policy development and supports organization-wide initiatives, playing a critical role in maintaining a productive and legally compliant work environment.
3. Responsibilities:
• Maintain and audit compliance logs for federal, state, and local laws relevant to HR, assisting with employee handbook updates
• Provide security support for the HR information system, ensuring accurate and confidential employee records
• Manage unemployment processes including responses, hearings, and invoice processing
• Administer separation of employment policies and procedures
• Record separation and disciplinary actions in HRIS
• Advise management and employees on policy interpretation
• Support the performance review process by tracking goals and feedback
• Assist with confidential investigations, including documentation and remediation activities
• Attend involuntary termination meetings as needed
• Help resolve workplace conflicts and promote a positive environment

4. Requirements:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for policy explanation and conflict resolution
• Strong listening and relationship-building abilities
• Thorough knowledge of employment laws such as FLSA, FMLA, and anti-discrimination regulations

• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Experience with UKG Ready systems is a plus
• 3-5 years of relevant HR experience
• Preferred bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field
• Experience in fast-paced or high-growth environments preferred
• Ability to work independently with discretion and confidentiality
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Excellent writing and critical thinking skills
• Willingness to travel less than 5% for team meetings if approved
