About the Role

This role sits at the heart of a new, high assurance technology program where security architecture is not a constraint, but a design principle. You will shape how sensitive systems are built, connected, and protected from the ground up. The impact is tangible: establishing secure foundations for platforms that matter at national and strategic levels.

As a Senior Security Architect, you will operate as a trusted technical authority across complex, securitycritical environments. You will design and validate architectures that span on-premise, hybrid, and cloud platforms, ensuring secure data flows, resilient infrastructure, and compliance with stringent handling requirements. This is hands-on architectural work, paired with real influence — collaborating with engineers, program leads, and risk stakeholders to define secure design patterns that scale.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing secure infrastructure architectures aligned to classified data handling requirements across on-premise and hybrid environments.
• Defining and enforcing data classification frameworks, including secure workflows for storage, processing, and transfer of sensitive information.
• Architecting and securing cloud-native platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), including multi-cloud and hybrid deployments.
• Applying deep technical understanding of security controls, standards, and compliance frameworks directly into system and infrastructure design.
• Partnering with technical and nontechnical stakeholders to assess risk, document threat models, and establish high assurance security patterns.
• Conducting architecture reviews and providing assurance that solutions meet regulatory and compliance obligations from design through delivery.

What You’ll Bring

Essential

• Proven experience owning end-to-end architecture in high security or regulated environments.
• Strong background designing and securing on-premise infrastructure architectures.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex security requirements into practical, scalable technical designs.
• Confidence operating as a subject matter expert, influencing decisions through technical credibility rather than hierarchy.
