We are looking to hire an Atomic Operations Designer to design, model and characterise operations based on the interaction between ions and laser and microwave fields. What You'll Accomplish
- Design methods for atom-light operations such as sub-Doppler cooling, state preparation and detection and quantum gates
- Contribute to the development of accurate physics models describing atom-light interactions
- Work with the hardware teams to implement methods on our devices
- Analyse experimental results and compare them against predictions from models

- Experience in designing atom-light interaction protocols for quantum technologies
- Strong background in atomic physics research
- A proven track record of collaboration with experimental research groups and/or quantum hardware industry
