Vice President of Human Resources

Location: Boise, ID (Relocation Considered)
Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 

CV Resources is partnering with a private equity-backed, multi-state healthcare organization to identify a Vice President of Human Resources. This organization has approximately 500 employees and is in a strong growth phase, with a focus on building scalable infrastructure and operational excellence across its footprint.

Position Overview

The Vice President of Human Resources will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for leading and optimizing the HR function across a multi-state platform. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategy with execution, with an immediate focus on strengthening HR operations, ensuring compliance, and improving cross-functional alignment.

The ideal candidate brings experience in complex, multi-site environments and has a proven ability to build structure, enhance processes, and support a growing organization through change and scale.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Infrastructure

  • Lead the development and standardization of HR processes across multiple states and locations
  • Establish and maintain strong operational controls to mitigate payroll and compliance risk
  • Partner closely with Payroll, Finance, and Operations to ensure accuracy in employee data and status changes
  • Build scalable HR infrastructure to support organizational growth

    Compliance & Risk Management

    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry-specific regulations
    • Oversee employee file management, audits, and reporting requirements
    • Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures, including employee handbook updates
    • Establish ongoing compliance reporting and monitoring processes

      Systems & Process Optimization

      • Evaluate and optimize HR systems, including workflow automation and reporting capabilities
      • Implement efficient processes for onboarding, performance management, and corrective action
      • Enhance visibility into workforce data to support decision-making

        Talent, Engagement & Culture

        • Oversee onboarding, training compliance, and employee engagement initiatives
        • Partner with leadership to improve retention, performance, and employee experience
        • Lead compensation benchmarking and support total rewards strategy
        • Support leadership development and organizational effectivenessQualifications
          • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including senior leadership or VP-level roles
          • Experience in healthcare or other highly regulated industries preferred
          • Proven success in multi-state, multi-site environments
          • Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth organizations strongly preferred
          • Strong background in HR operations, compliance, and process improvement
          • Experience with HRIS platforms (Paycom preferred)
          • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environmentWhy This Opportunity
