We are seeking an Engineering Leader for our client in San Antonio. This person will serve as a technical leader for the design and execution of custom and standardized industrial control panel enclosures and engineered mechanical systems. This role is highly hands-on and plays a critical part in ensuring products meet UL standards, customer specifications, and internal quality requirements, while supporting cross-functional teams across engineering, project management, manufacturing, and quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Lead mechanical design of industrial control panel enclosures, skids, cabinets, and integrated mechanical assemblies.

·       Maintain and improve internal engineering standards and best practices.

·       Partner with Project Managers, Electrical Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing to deliver projects on schedule and within scope.

·       Mentor junior engineers and designers through technical guidance and design reviews.

·       Identify opportunities to improve design efficiency, standardization, and manufacturability.

·       Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and production.

·       Lead and oversee the design of custom generator enclosures and integrated power distribution systems.

·       Structural & HVAC Integration: Collaborate across disciplines to ensure structural and cooling systems are optimized for durability, safety, and efficiency.

·       Material & Component Strategy: Specify materials and components to align geographic and environmental considerations.

·       Documentation & Compliance: Produce detailed design packages including drawings, bill of materials, and technical documentation; ensure adherence to regulatory and quality standards.

·       Client Collaboration: Serve as a primary technical interface with clients throughout the lifecycle of each project.

·       Project Management: Drive engineering schedules and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet milestones.

·       Mentorship: Lead design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and uphold rigorous quality assurance standards.

 

REQUIREMENTS

·       Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering

·       Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years collaborating with mission critical custom enclosures.

·       Expertise in mechanical design within commercial or industrial construction settings

·       Professional Engineer (PE) license highly preferred

·       Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD (3D), and related engineering design tools

·       Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
