About The Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Front-End Developer with a strong background in WordPress and Shopify development to join our remote team in India. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about creating high-performance websites that are optimized for SEO, user experience, and conversion. As part of our technical team, you will be responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining websites that align with our clients' strategic goals. You will work closely with our SEO and design teams to implement best practices in website architecture, speed optimization, and structured data integration. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a solid understanding of web performance principles, and the ability to balance technical requirements with aesthetic and user-centric design.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a minimum of 4+ years of experience in front-end development, specifically with WordPress and Shopify platforms. Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and working familiarity with Liquid (Shopify) and PHP (WordPress) is essential. Candidates should have demonstrable experience in implementing technical SEO strategies, including structured data, schema markup, and website performance optimization. A solid understanding of Core Web Vitals, website speed enhancements, and responsive design principles is required. Experience with analytics setup, website migrations, and CMS optimization will be highly valued. The ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and communicate effectively within a remote team environment is crucial.

Responsibilities

• Website Development & Customisation
• Build, customize, and optimize WordPress websites and Shopify themes utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and Liquid.
• Develop responsive product pages, service pages, collection pages, landing pages, and blog templates tailored for SEO and conversions.
• Implement custom functionalities through WordPress plugins, custom fields, Shopify APIs, metafields, and third-party integrations.
• Create scalable, reusable, and maintainable code structures to facilitate future updates and ease of maintenance.
• Ensure all websites adhere to clean code practices, accessibility standards, and responsive design principles.

• Performance & Speed Optimisation
• Enhance Core Web Vitals by optimizing assets, implementing lazy loading, and reducing render-blocking scripts.
• Minify CSS and JavaScript files, compress media, and leverage caching strategies to ensure fast page loads.
• Manage CDN services such as Cloudflare to improve website delivery speed globally.
• Conduct regular performance audits to maintain speed benchmarks and UX standards.
• Technical SEO Implementation
• Develop SEO-friendly site structures with proper meta tags, schema markup, and internal linking strategies.
• Implement structured data for products, reviews, FAQs, breadcrumbs, and articles to enhance search visibility.
• Identify and resolve crawl errors, canonical issues, and indexation gaps across WordPress and Shopify websites.
• Follow best practices for URLs, redirects, and XML sitemaps during site migrations and updates.
• Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)
• Collaborate with design and SEO teams to A/B test landing pages and optimize user flows.
• Implement CRO features such as sticky CTAs, quick add-to-cart options, and exit-intent popups.
