Position: Data Engineer (Relocation to the Netherlands)

Location: The Hague, Netherlands (100% on-site)

We are seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain modern data infrastructure and pipelines supporting analytics, AI, and operational systems. This role covers the full data lifecycle, ensuring secure, reliable, and high‑quality data delivery across the organization.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and near real‑time processing.
• Build and maintain data lakes, data warehouses, and scalable data infrastructure.
• Integrate data from structured and unstructured sources.
• Ensure data integrity, availability, governance, and security.
• Support analytics, AI, and data science teams with reliable datasets.
• Monitor and optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and observability for data workflows.
• Apply secure data handling practices (encryption, access control, authentication/authorization).

• Translate business and data requirements into technical solutions.
• Use modern engineering practices: version control, CI/CD, testing.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of data engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with:
• Data warehousing
• ETL/ELT pipelines
• Data governance
• Batch + real‑time processing systems
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools for data pipelines.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field OR
