Role Overview:

We are seeking a Technical Manager – Network, Security & Cloud Architecture on a W2 / Contract-to-Hire (C2H) basis to lead architecture governance, security oversight, and cloud migration initiatives. This role is responsible for designing, auditing, and approving secure network and cloud architectures, while also leading execution and building a high-performing technical team. The role will transition into a permanent leadership position based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture Governance & Final Approval

• Review, audit, and validate network architectures and topologies across all projects
• Serve as the final technical approval authority for infrastructure, network, and security designs
• Ensure alignment with enterprise security standards and AWS cloud best practices
• Establish architecture governance processes and design review frameworks

Network Topology Audit & Optimization

• Conduct detailed audits of existing and proposed network designs
• Identify security vulnerabilities, performance issues, and architectural inefficiencies
• Recommend and enforce secure, scalable, and optimized network architectures
• Ensure redundancy, segmentation, and disaster recovery standards are implemented

Cybersecurity & Financial Data Protection

• Enforce security controls for financial transactions and sensitive investor data
• Approve encryption strategies, IAM policies, API security, and firewall configurations
• Ensure compliance with global security and data protection regulations
• Lead risk assessments, threat modeling, and incident mitigation planning

Cloud Strategy & AWS Migration

• Lead and oversee the migration of infrastructure to the AWS cloud platform
• Design secure AWS architectures (VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, networking, etc.)
• Ensure secure hybrid and full-cloud deployment models
• Validate cloud security posture, scalability, and operational readiness

Project Execution & Delivery Oversight

• Oversee the execution of network, security, and cloud infrastructure projects
• Ensure adherence to approved architectural designs and delivery timelines
• Manage risks, dependencies, and cross-functional coordination
• Support Agile delivery and technical roadmap execution

Team Building & Leadership

• Build and scale a network and cybersecurity engineering team
• Define hiring strategy, roles, and future team structure
• Mentor engineers and enforce technical excellence standards
• Foster a security-first, high-performance engineering culture

Travel & Onsite Requirements

• Must be available for company meetings and strategic discussions
• Required to travel to meet internal teams, stakeholders, and leadership as needed
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (including overseas locations) if required to support project execution and coordination

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Network Security, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field
• Candidates with Computer Science degrees must have strong security/network certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CCNP Security, AWS Security Specialty, Security+)
• 8–12+ years of experience in network engineering, cybersecurity, or infrastructure architecture
• 3–5+ years in a technical leadership or managerial role
• Strong experience in network design, auditing, and governance

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, Security Specialty)

• Knowledge of zero-trust architecture and DevSecOps practices
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
