The mission

We're building a platform that gives volunteer-run clubs, from local youth football to large multi-team organisations, the tools to handle memberships, payments, and admin without the chaos. Clubs worldwide are signing up, and we're scaling fast. The engineers joining us now will define how this product grows.

🛠 What you'll actually be working on

•Owning features end-to-end, from design through to production deployment

•Solving real scaling challenges: performance, payment integrity, and reliability as global traffic grows

•Transforming club onboarding into a slick self-serve experience and building automation that saves volunteers real time

•Contributing to architectural decisions and setting the engineering standards future hires will build on

•Mentoring junior engineers and helping shape a culture of pragmatic, high-quality delivery

🤖 AI as a genuine part of the workflow, not a buzzword

This one matters to us. We expect engineers to use agentic AI tooling as a core part of how they build, not as a novelty. Specifically, we want people who:

•Use tools like Claude Code or Cursor to plan, build, test, and ship, not just autocomplete lines

•Can direct multi-step agentic workflows: breaking down a brief, generating code, writing tests, debugging, and iterating to something production-ready

•Apply AI critically, knowing when to trust the output, when to challenge it, and when to go a different direction entirely

•Are excited about building team workflows that make AI-assisted development more effective for everyone

As part of our process, we'll ask you to walk us through how you'd use AI tooling to ship a feature end-to-end. We want to understand your thinking, not just see your prompts.

✅ What we're looking for

•2+ years building and maintaining large-scale Rails applications

•Hands-on, daily use of AI coding tools, with real productivity gains to show for it

•Strong problem-solving instincts and comfort navigating ambiguity

•Clear communicator, equally comfortable with engineers and non-technical stakeholders

•Self-directed, ownership-driven, and at home in a remote-first environment

⭐ Nice to haves

•Hotwire, Stimulus, and Turbo experience

•Payment processing familiarity, Stripe, GoCardless, Adyen, or similar

•Deployment tooling: Kamal, Docker, or Heroku pipelines

•Multi-tenant SaaS platform experience
