This role requires deep expertise in Azure Route Server integrated with Meraki SD-WAN environments, enabling dynamic routing between Azure and branch networks. The ideal candidate is a hands-on consultant who can design, implement, and troubleshoot complex hybrid networking solutions involving Azure and enterprise firewall platforms.

- Design, deploy, and maintain Azure network infrastructure, including hub-and-spoke architectures
- Implement and manage Azure Route Server integrated with Meraki SD-WAN devices for dynamic routing between Azure and branch locations
- Configure and support iBGP routing across Azure and SD-WAN environments
- Deploy and manage:
- Virtual Network Gateways
- Local Network Gateways
- Configure and troubleshoot IPSec VPN tunnels (site-to-site between Azure and on-prem/SD-WAN environments)
- Integrate Azure networking with third-party network appliances including:
- Cisco Meraki SD-WAN
- Palo Alto Networks firewalls
- Support hybrid connectivity use cases leveraging dynamic routing via Route Server vs traditional VPN gateway routing
- Troubleshoot routing, failover behavior, and performance issues across Azure and SD-WAN fabric
- Provide network architecture documentation and best practice recommendations
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience, with strong Azure focus
- Proven experience with:
- Azure Route Server
- Meraki SD-WAN integration with Azure (strongly preferred)
- iBGP routing design and implementation
- Virtual Network Gateway / Local Network Gateway
- IPSec VPN (site-to-site hybrid configurations)
- Practical experience with Palo Alto and/or Meraki firewall technologies
- Strong understanding of hybrid cloud networking and SD-WAN architectures
- Ability to troubleshoot complex multi-platform routing environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a consulting capacity
