Job Description:

Both customers are food manufactures and need to separate IT from the OT networks.

They need someone who can support both clients doing roughly the same kind of work.

Network Architect and Implementation Expert

Description

Project Description

  • Enthusiastically take over an existing project, design, and technology components of a common multi-tier architecture
  • Quickly digest current design and provide updates as needed
  • Assist with configuration, change/migration plans, and implementation of a complex network design with redundant MDF to each IDF while keeping existing functionality alive
  • Design and implement IT/OT separation and best practice zero trust policies
  • Primary technology partners: Fortinet, FS, Mikrotik
  • Desired outcome is complete high availability and redundancy and optimal security
  • Weekly project meetings are required during business hours, but much of the other work and communication can be performed after normal business hours
  • Work effort is expected to be a minimum of 10 hours/week (or faster if possible) over the next 4-6 months until project is complete

Skills Required:

  • Multi-homed BGP configuration experience
  • Significant experience with design and support of networks utilizing routing protocols: BGP, VRRP, OSPF, etc.
  • NSE certified preferred or equivalent experience
  • Focus on both expert solutions, but also expert at documentation, training, and handoff of solution to the support team
  • Ability to develop and support complex migrations, provide cutover assistance, and next-day support for cutover events
  • Responsive to phone, text messages, and email during project duration
  • Make and keep commitments weekly to aggressively move the project forward
  • Most work will be completed remotely, but some on-site may be needed and helpful for cutover events (Logan, UT).
