Trading Venues Engineer

We are looking for a Trading Venues Engineer to support support trading systems. The role is an initial 2 year contract and requires full relocation to Switzerland.

As a Technical Engineer, you will be responsible for resolving issues and incidents related to external trading venues, including but not limited to Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Tradeweb, MarketAxess, Eurex, BidFX, CFETs, and SIX.

We are searching for a Trading and Market Venue Engineer with at least 3 years of expertise in supporting trading venues. They possess advanced technical expertise and have experience with message protocols such as FIX, understanding networks and administering different trading venue platforms such as Bloomberg.

• Incident Resolution: Address incidents reported by business users related to banking applications. Unrestricted
• Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across various functions, including subject matter experts, management, and IT teams, to implement and monitor changes.
• Out-of-Hours Support: Provide support for activities outside standard working hours, such as system changes, power-downs, and failover testing.
• System Resilience: Contribute to long-term enhancements for system performance and resilience.
• Documentation: Document trading and market venue connectivity and support processes, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Trading and Market Venue Engineer in a financial institution, with prior experience supporting trading systems in a changing environment
• Demonstrated ability to administer entitlements for trading and market venues.
• Familiarity with the usage of market and trade data in financial institutions.
• Hands-on experience with performance monitoring and alerting systems.
• Strong knowledge of message protocols such as FIX and FPML/XML.
• Advanced expertise in Linux and Windows operating systems.
