Germany (Remote)

The opportunity:

We are working with a leading organisation operating in the cybersecurity space to identify a skilled IAM Engineer to join their team on a fully remote basis — open to candidates based anywhere in Germany.

This is a rare opportunity to work at the centre of enterprise identity strategy, owning and developing complex IAM environments with genuine scope to make an impact from day one.

What you will be doing:

• Designing, implementing and maintaining IAM solutions across enterprise environments
• Working with platforms such as SailPoint, CyberArk, Ping Identity, Okta, or equivalent
• Managing user lifecycle processes including provisioning, de-provisioning and access reviews
• Supporting the rollout and governance of Privileged Access Management (PAM) controls
• Integrating IAM solutions with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premise systems

• Collaborating with security, compliance and IT teams to enforce least-privilege principles
• Contributing to IAM roadmap planning and continuous improvement initiatives
• Responding to access-related incidents and supporting audit and compliance requirements

What we are looking for:

• Solid hands-on experience in an IAM or identity-focused engineering role
• Strong knowledge of IAM concepts — RBAC, ABAC, SSO, MFA, PAM, directory services
• Experience with one or more leading IAM platforms (SailPoint, CyberArk, Okta, ForgeRock, etc.)
• Familiarity with LDAP, Active Directory, and federation protocols (SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC)
• Experience working in hybrid or cloud-native environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a security-first mindset
• Fluency in German and/or English — both are advantageous

Nice to have:

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CIAM, or vendor-specific IAM qualifications
• Experience in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, public sector)
• Exposure to Zero Trust architecture and IGA (Identity Governance & Administration)
• Scripting or automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
