The Sales & Marketing Cloud Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, optimization, and ongoing support of the company’s Sales and Marketing Cloud platforms. This role ensures that marketing, sales, and customer communication tools are reliable, scalable, compliant, and aligned with business goals such as lead generation, conversion, retention, and customer experience.
Reporting to the VP of Marketing and Senior Marketing Manager (with close partnership across Mergers and Acquisitions, Recruiting, Operations, IT, and Analytics), this role serves as the system owner for campaign execution, automation workflows, data integrity, user access, and performance reporting across Sales and Marketing Cloud environments.
The ideal candidate is technically strong, process-driven, and comfortable translating business needs into system solutions while maintaining best practices for data governance, automation, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Marketing Cloud Administration
- Serve as the primary administrator for Sales and Marketing Cloud platforms
- Configure and maintain system settings, permissions, user roles, and security controls
- Manage user onboarding, training, and ongoing support
- Ensure system stability, performance, and scalability
- Oversee System Implementation partnership including ongoing post-implementation support
- Support the design, build, and deployment of marketing campaigns including:
- Email campaigns and journeys
- Lead nurturing and lifecycle automation
- Transactional and operational communications
- Configure automation workflows, triggers, and integrations to support marketing and sales processes
- Partner with marketing stakeholders to ensure campaigns are built accurately and launched on time
- Maintain data quality, structure, and hygiene across Sales and Marketing Cloud environments
- Manage data imports, synchronization, and integrations with internal systems and third-party tools
- Ensure accurate mapping between Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and other connected platforms
- Develop and maintain data governance standards, documentation, and best practices

- Build and maintain dashboards and reports to support:
- Campaign performance and engagement metrics
- Lead and pipeline visibility
- Conversion and attribution insights
- Partner with marketing and sales teams to translate reporting needs into actionable insights
- Identify system optimization opportunities to improve efficiency, personalization, and performance
- Ensure compliance with email regulations and data privacy requirements (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR where applicable)
- Manage consent, preference centers, suppression lists, and unsubscribe processes
- Stay current on platform updates, releases, and best practices
- Proactively recommend enhancements and process improvements
- Act as a key liaison between Marketing, Sales, Operations, IT, and external vendors
- Support troubleshooting, issue resolution, and root-cause analysis
- Assist with vendor coordination and system upgrades or enhancements
- Document processes, configurations, and workflows to support continuity and scalability
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience administering Sales and/or Marketing Cloud platforms
- Hands-on experience with campaign automation, data extensions, workflows, and reporting
- Strong understanding of CRM concepts, lead management, and marketing automation
- Experience supporting cross-functional stakeholders with varying technical expertise

- Salesforce Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud experience
- Experience with Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, or comparable tools
