European Sovereign Cloud Operations Lead

The Role

• Oversee the launch and ongoing operations of a new European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) initiative.

• Build and lead operations and development teams focused on delivering high-availability AWS services.

• Collaborate with global teams to influence the evolution of AWS services and technology.

• Enhance day-to-day operations, focusing on availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency.

• Participate in on-call rotations to address incidents out-of-hours.

What You'll Need

• Fluency in written and spoken English.

• Must be a national of an EU member state and residing in the EU.

• Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering with hardware, software, networking, and operating systems.

• Experience scripting automation processes in languages like Bash, Python, or Ruby.

• Solid understanding of Linux and networking, with the ability to troubleshoot system performance and reliability issues.

• Ability to lead the creation and improvement of operational procedures and best practices.
