Full Stack Developer - Conversational AI Platform (Dubai)

Amira AI (legal entity AC AI Convergence LLC) is a Dubai-based enterprise AI platform for customer experience automation. Our four-product suite — Amira.agentic (autonomous voice and chat agents), Amira.assist (real-time agent co-pilot), Amira.analyze (predictive quality analytics), and Amira.coach (AI-powered agent training) — is deployed across more than 200 enterprise customers globally, including Vodafone, Deutsche Telekom, Santander, E.ON, DAMAC, L'Oréal, IFZA, and Audi.

We are headquartered in Al Fahidi, Bur Dubai, with engineering excellence delivered from our German parent organisation, building on more than thirty years of contact-centre and CX expertise. We operate natively in seventy-plus languages and one hundred-twenty-plus dialects, with full data sovereignty in every country we serve. This role sits in our Middle East regional team, which is in active build-out across the GCC. The work is operational, customer-facing, and direct: there is no large management layer between you and the leadership decisions that affect your day-to-day.

Two reasons, both important. First, our German engineering team is excellent but remote, and our UAE customer base — particularly local accounts and government clients — requires same-time-zone, in-region engineering presence for incident response, custom integrations, and culturally adapted product work. Second, the Dubai AI Seal certification programme — which since October 2025 is a prerequisite for UAE government AI procurement — explicitly evaluates the number of AI specialists employed in Dubai. Building local engineering presence is both an operational necessity and a strategic compliance investment.

These are not contractor roles. We are hiring two full-time Full Stack Developers based in Dubai who will work directly on the Amira platform, build region-specific features, contribute to our Arabic-language deployment quality, and serve as the in-region engineering interface to our largest local customers.

You will report disciplinarily to the Co-CEO Middle East for day-to-day work prioritisation. You will report technically to the Co-Founder and CTO in Germany for architectural standards, code review, and technical career growth — joining a senior engineering team building one of Europe's most established conversational AI platforms.

•       Region-specific feature development on the Amira platform — GCC-specific integrations (regional CRMs, telephony providers, payment systems, government APIs), and feature work driven by local enterprise customer requirements.

•       In-region production support — same-time-zone incident response, deployment monitoring, and customer-facing technical support for Tier-1 UAE accounts where remote German support has time-zone friction.

•       Customer-side technical work — bespoke integration builds for major UAE deployments, occasionally on-site at customer offices for kickoff and complex deployment phases.

•       Code quality and review — you contribute to the same codebase as the German engineering team, follow the same architectural standards, and your work goes through the same code review.

•       Arabic-deployment quality assurance — working with the German team and our Workflow Engineers, you ensure Arabic STT/TTS quality, dialect handling, and culturally appropriate conversational design.

•       Technical pre-sales support — supporting the Vertical Sales team on technical evaluations, security questionnaires, and proof-of-concept builds.

•       Five or more years of professional full-stack software development experience, with at least two in production-grade systems (not just prototypes or internal tools).

•       Strong proficiency in modern backend stacks — Node.js, Python (FastAPI / Django), or Go preferred — and modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue).

•       Solid database fluency — PostgreSQL or MySQL primary, plus practical experience with at least one NoSQL store and one message-queue system (Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka).

•       Comfortable with cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure — deployments, CI/CD, monitoring, basic infrastructure-as-code.

•       API design and integration experience — REST and GraphQL, webhook patterns, third-party API consumption.

•       Strong written and spoken English — code review, documentation, and architectural discussion happen in English with our German team.

•       Self-direction in a remote-first engineering culture — you can work productively without daily in-person supervision and you communicate proactively.

•       Right to live and work in the UAE, or willingness to be sponsored under our visa.

•       Arabic — significantly accelerates work on Arabic-language deployments and customer communication.

•       German — accelerates work with our Germany engineering team.

•       Direct experience with conversational AI platforms (Cognigy, Parloa, Voiceflow), CCaaS systems, or telephony engineering (SIP, RTP, WebRTC).

•       LLM application development experience — RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, vector databases, embedding stores.

•       Speech technology experience — STT/TTS integration, voice-quality measurement (MOS), latency optimisation.

•       Open-source contributions — visible GitHub track record.

•       Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field — not strictly required, but valued.

•       Base salary depending on seniority and demonstrated technical depth.

•       Onboarding programme in Germany at the parent organisation (either online or in Germany) — direct mentorship from the CTO and senior engineering team.
