About the role:
Careerscape is partnering with a growing technology company to hire a Remote IT Support Specialist for their NYC-based, distributed team. This is a strong opportunity for a customer-focused IT professional who enjoys solving technical problems, supporting end users, and keeping a modern workplace running smoothly.
In this role, you'll serve as the first point of contact for employee technical issues, manage user accounts and devices, and help maintain the systems and tools the company runs on day to day. You'll partner closely with IT leadership, security, and operations to improve internal processes, document solutions, and deliver a high-quality support experience across a fully remote workforce.

Compensation
- Base salary: $60,000 – $85,000, commensurate with experience
- Annual performance bonus: up to 8% of base
- Estimated total compensation: $65,000 – $92,000+ on-target
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee IT support requests via ticketing system, chat, and video
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and account issues across Windows and macOS environments
- Manage user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Okta, and other SaaS tools
- Configure, deploy, and maintain laptops and peripherals for remote employees, including shipping and asset tracking
- Support video conferencing, collaboration, and productivity tools (Zoom, Slack, Asana, etc.)
- Document solutions, write internal knowledge base articles, and contribute to onboarding materials
- Partner with IT and security teams on patching, MDM policies, and endpoint compliance
- Identify recurring issues and recommend process or tooling improvements

What We're Looking For
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop support
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS troubleshooting
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace
- Familiarity with identity providers (Okta, Azure AD) and MDM tools (Jamf, Kandji, Intune)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi troubleshooting)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first mindset
- Ability to work independently, manage a ticket queue, and prioritize effectively in a remote environment
