This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director of Innovation and Product Marketing in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of product innovation, marketing strategy, and cross-functional leadership, driving how new and existing products are positioned, launched, and scaled in the market. You will be responsible for shaping product vision and identifying growth opportunities that align with consumer needs, brand strategy, and business goals. The position plays a key role in translating market insights into actionable product strategies, ensuring strong alignment between R&D, marketing, operations, and commercial teams. You will lead innovation initiatives from ideation through commercialization, influencing both portfolio evolution and go-to-market success. The environment is fast-paced, mission-driven, and highly collaborative, requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution. This is a high-impact leadership role where your work directly shapes product direction, market differentiation, and revenue growth.

Accountabilities

  • Define and lead the innovation and renovation strategy, identifying new product opportunities and optimizing the existing portfolio.
  • Build and manage the product innovation roadmap based on market trends, consumer insights, and competitive analysis.
  • Oversee product lifecycle management from concept through commercialization, ensuring strategic fit and profitability.
  • Develop business cases, financial models, ROI analyses, and product briefs to support innovation and renovation decisions.
  • Lead product concept validation through customer research, prototyping, and voice-of-customer insights.
  • Own product positioning, messaging, naming, and differentiation strategies in collaboration with Brand and Commercial teams.
  • Support development of sales enablement tools, ensuring clear articulation of product value and benefits.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across R&D, Marketing, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure successful execution of product initiatives.
  • Define KPIs to measure innovation success, product adoption, and revenue impact.
  • Serve as a key liaison to executive leadership, presenting strategy, performance, and growth opportunities.
  • Manage external partnerships related to product development and innovation initiatives.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of experience in product marketing, innovation, or brand management, ideally within CPG, food, nutrition, or consumer health industries.
  • 3+ years of experience leading and managing cross-functional teams and direct reports.
  • Proven track record of bringing new products from concept through commercialization using a Stage Gate or similar process.
  • Experience developing and executing product roadmaps balancing innovation and portfolio optimization.
  • Strong skills in product positioning, competitive analysis, and category management tools (e.g., Nielsen, IRI/Circana, SPINS).
  • Ability to build and present financial models and ROI analyses to senior leadership.
  • Familiarity with regulatory environments in food or infant nutrition (FDA labeling and claims compliance is a plus).
  • Strong executive communication and storytelling skills with experience presenting data-driven insights.
  • Understanding of supply chain and manufacturing constraints in product development.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities across diverse teams.
