Data Focused Product Owner
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, Azure platform engineers, Databricks engineers, and governance teams.
- Communicate progress, risks, and decisions to leadership and project sponsors.
- Provide documentation, training, and enablement to help teams adopt new Azure + Databricks workflows and capabilities.
- Conduct current-state analysis of SQL Server databases, SSIS/SSRS workloads, and legacy ETL pipelines to determine migration scope and modernization opportunities.
- Document business processes, data flows, data definitions, and system interactions across both legacy and Azure target architectures.
- Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements for Azure Databricks, ADLS, ADF, and related services.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews to validate requirements, clarify assumptions, and align expectations.

Required Skills & Experience
- Experience as a Product Owner, Business Systems Analyst, or hybrid role in data-centric environments.
- Strong understanding of Azure data services, including Azure Databricks, ADLS Gen2, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL.
- Familiarity with Delta Lake, distributed compute concepts, and modern ELT/ETL patterns.
- Experience analyzing and migrating workloads from Microsoft SQL Server.
- Ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and system documentation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
