About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to support a strategic initiative focused on building a next‑generation payment acceptance platform for one of our key clients.

This role is ideal for a highly specialised POS payments expert with a strong technical background—someone who has previously worked as a developer or architect and can effectively bridge business, product, and engineering teams. You will act as the subject‑matter expert (SME) for Android POS terminals, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable requirements that enable successful product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the POS & Payments SME within the product team, with a strong focus on Android POS terminals and application requirements
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear functional and non‑functional requirements, documented as high‑quality user stories
• Own and manage the product backlog, including refinement, prioritisation, and sprint planning
• Bridge business, product, and engineering teams to reduce rework and post‑sign‑off clarification
• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure requirements are technically robust and delivery‑ready
• Anticipate post‑production impacts and assess cross‑stakeholder implications
• Support delivery across globally distributed teams in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Contribute to continuous improvement in documentation, processes, and delivery quality
• Confidently own decisions and clearly communicate trade‑offs to stakeholders

Required Experience & Skills

• 5+ years’ experience in Payments, POS, or Acquiring, working as a developer or architect
• Senior‑level expertise in POS systems, payment terminals, and end‑to‑end acquiring flows
• Strong technical background with the ability to work at a low level of detail
• Proven experience translating technical architecture and constraints into executable requirements
• Deep understanding of Android POS environments, including device configuration, application constraints, and certification contexts
• Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive outcomes
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
• Fluent Portuguese

• End‑to‑end ownership of requirements, from concept through delivery
• Ability to minimise ambiguity between business intent and engineering implementation
• Strong Agile practitioner with hands‑on Scrum delivery experience
• Comfortable working with globally distributed teams
• Proficient with delivery and documentation tools, including:
