DevOps Engineer, Junior

2. About the Opportunity:

The DevOps Engineer, Jr. will focus on streamlining the software development life cycle from requirements gathering through to production monitoring. This role aims to reduce repetitive tasks through automation and integration of cloud-based and open-source tools, enabling development teams to concentrate on innovation. It provides an opportunity for skill growth in automation, cloud development, and continuous integration and delivery. The position requires occasional after-hours deployment support and operates fully remotely during standard business hours.

3. Responsibilities:

• Streamline the software development life cycle using automation and open-source tools

• Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines

• Utilize cloud resources to automate deployment and operational tasks

• Provide pre-scheduled after-hours support for deployments as needed

• Support and improve system monitoring in production environments

4. Requirements:

• Three years of experience for DevOps Engineer, Junior; one year for System Engineer, Junior

• Experience with Linux system design, evaluation, or administration

• Administration experience with container platforms such as Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or EKS

• Proficient in scripting and infrastructure as code using Ansible, Python, Bash, and Terraform

• Experience with complex build systems

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies or the software development life cycle (SDLC)

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
