DevOps Engineer (Contract)
We're hiring a DevOps Engineer to support enterprise cloud applications in a production environment. This role is heavily focused on AWS infrastructure support, automation, monitoring, and post‑deployment operations, working closely with developers and globally distributed teams.
What you'll be doing:
- Support and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure
- Manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Support containerized workloads using Kubernetes (Rancher highly relevant)
- Use Ansible for configuration management and automation
- Partner with developers to understand application code, containers, and artifacts
- Own post‑deployment responsibilities including monitoring, troubleshooting, and debugging
- Build and maintain complex dashboards and queries in Splunk and Datadog
- Work with offshore teams responsible for deployment execution
- Maintain a strong understanding of overall cloud architecture
- Limited exposure to GCP (future-facing; AWS remains the core focus)

What we're looking for:

- Strong production support and collaboration skills

Required Qualifications
* Strong hands-on experience supporting AWS cloud infrastructure
* Solid understanding of cloud architecture and operational best practices
* Proven experience using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management
* Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
* Understanding of containerized application deployments
* Experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation
* Strong troubleshooting skills in production environments
* Experience using Splunk and Datadog for monitoring, logging, and diagnostics
Ability to work effectively with application development teams in a DevOps model
