Senior Systems Engineer for European Sovereign Cloud

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Lead operations and development for high-availability AWS services supporting the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC).

• Oversee the launch of the ESC in 2025, collaborating with global AWS teams.

• Enhance day-to-day operations, focusing on availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency.

• Participate in on-call rotations for incident resolution.

• Review operational health of services, identify anomalies, and craft bug reports for system enhancement.

• Develop and test scripts to improve workflows and operational procedures.

What You'll Need

• Fluency in written and spoken English.

• Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering with hardware, software, networking, and operating systems.

• Experience scripting processes in languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby.

• Solid understanding of Linux and networking, with the ability to troubleshoot and anticipate system performance issues.

• Experience leading the creation and improvement of operational procedures and driving best practices.
