Role Summary

As a UI/UX Designer Intern, you will collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders across CrescentRating and HalalTrip to define and implement innovative design solutions that elevate the user experience across our digital platforms. You will translate complex product requirements into intuitive wireframes, interactive prototypes, and polished high-fidelity mockups, while helping to establish and uphold design standards that reflect our brand and mission. This is a hands-on role for a creatively driven, detail-oriented designer who is passionate about building meaningful, user-centred digital experiences — including AI-powered and automated product features.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and cross-functional stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visual design, and user experience across CrescentRating and HalalTrip platforms
• Create wireframes, user flows, process flows, and sitemaps that clearly and effectively communicate interaction concepts and design ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
• Develop high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes, iteratively refining designs based on user feedback, usability testing, and performance data
• Design intuitive user interfaces for AI-powered features — including conversational interfaces, recommendation engines, smart search, and automated content tools — ensuring AI outputs are presented in a clear, trustworthy, and human-centred way
• Leverage AI-assisted design tools (such as Figma AI, Galileo AI, Uizard, or similar) to accelerate ideation, generate design variations, and explore concepts faster without compromising quality or craft
• Collaborate with developers and data teams to design automation workflows and AI-driven user journeys, mapping how automated processes interact with users and ensuring transitions between human and machine-driven experiences feel seamless
• Establish, document, and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards to ensure consistency and quality across all CrescentRating and HalalTrip digital touchpoints — including standards for AI-generated content presentation and automated interface patterns
• Present and confidently defend design decisions to peers, product teams, and executive-level stakeholders, articulating the rationale behind design choices clearly
• Monitor and analyse user feedback and key UX metrics to identify friction points, uncover opportunities for improvement, and iterate on designs to continuously enhance the user experience
• Stay current with the latest UI/UX trends, AI design tools, design automation techniques, and emerging technologies to ensure our products remain modern, engaging, and competitive

Requirements

Must Have

1. Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or a related field — final-year students are welcome to apply
2. Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work — portfolio submission is compulsory and applications without a portfolio will not be considered
3. Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar platforms
4. Demonstrated experience in creating wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes across web and/or mobile contexts
5. Strong visual design sensibility with a sharp eye for typography, colour, layout, and visual hierarchy
6. Solid understanding of user-centred design principles, usability best practices, and iterative design methodologies
7. Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day workflows to support research, ideation, copywriting, and problem-solving as part of a modern design practice
8. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain design concepts and rationale to diverse stakeholders

Good to Have

1. Experience designing for travel, hospitality, tourism, or e-commerce digital platforms
2. Familiarity with designing for AI-powered features — understanding how to present AI outputs, recommendations, or automated responses in interfaces that feel intuitive and trustworthy to end users
3. Hands-on experience with AI-assisted design tools such as Figma AI, Galileo AI, Uizard, Midjourney, or similar tools used to accelerate design workflows
4. Understanding of prompt engineering for design contexts — ability to use generative AI tools effectively to produce design assets, copy variations, and concept explorations

Working Details

• Arrangement: Remote
• Duration: 4 Months
• Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM SGT (GMT+8)
