Azure Cloud Engineer
Hours: 8am to 5pm Central Time, plus occasional evening hours for project deployments
Pay range: $95,000 to $110,000 annually plus full benefit package including health, dental, retirement, PTO

CPA is very technology-forward and this opportunity offers you an opportunity to work fully remote but incumbent must be able to work Central time zone business hours.
Job Summary
The Azure Cloud Engineer is responsible for the engineering, networking, resilience, and continuous improvement of the organization's cloud ecosystem. This role focuses on designing and supporting cloud automation, enterprise integrations, secure identity solutions, and scalable Azure services that improve operational efficiency and meet business needs. The position is responsible for strengthening network security, improving application availability, applying IT governance, and implementing authentication capabilities across the cloud environment.

Responsibilities also include supporting enterprise business platforms, modernizing integrations, monitoring system health, optimizing cloud investments, and maintaining high technical standards and documentation. The Azure Cloud Engineer partners with leadership and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex issues, recommend future-state cloud capabilities, and helps shape the organization's IT strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop automation and integration workflows using Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, and Azure Functions.
- Promote application resilience, availability, and security using Azure Front Door, Azure API Management, Application Gateways, and Firewall technologies.
- Design and support secure Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solutions using Entra External ID, Azure B2C, and related platforms.
- Engineer, administer, and optimize Microsoft Azure cloud solutions to meet business needs.
- Configure and troubleshoot authentication methods, including SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT tokens, and single sign-on integrations.
- Support and extend Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Dataverse through integrations, configuration, automation, and related services.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, and five or more years of experience in a cloud engineering or systems engineering role.
- Strong experience in engineering and supporting Microsoft Azure solutions in production environments.
- Strong knowledge of Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solutions, including Azure B2C, Entra External ID, Okta, or similar platforms.
- Working knowledge of Azure networking, firewalls, application gateways, DNS, and Azure API Management.
- Experience with PowerShell, scripting, automation, and light application development.
- Experience with Dynamics 365, Dataverse, and Power Platform technologies.
- Experience supporting APIs, web applications, and content management systems.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and source control processes.
