Role Description

The Senior Systems Administrator will oversee and maintain IT systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. Core responsibilities include configuring and managing servers, troubleshooting system and network issues, providing technical support to resolve user concerns, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance with best practices and security protocols. The role will involve collaboration with other IT professionals to implement and maintain efficient system and network operations within a government-focused environment. This full-time role is onsite at our Bedford, IN office, with 1-2 days a week telework . Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.


Senior Systems Administrator - Crane/Bedford, IN


Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required; Top Secret clearance preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

• 10+ years of professional experience in systems administration supporting enterprise IT environments.

• Demonstrated experience with Windows OS deployment and provisioning using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) and/or Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).

• Experience developing and maintaining task sequences for automated workstation deployments.

• Experience with Sysprep utility and WIM image capture processes.

• Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for automation and systems management.

• Experience with Windows ADK and WinPE deployment environments.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD 8570 Advanced certification (e.g., SecurityX, GCSA, CCSP, or equivalent).

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and technical documentation skills.

• Proficiency in System Administration and Information Technology, including operating systems, system configurations, and server management

• Strong skills in Network Administration, including network design, implementation, and security protocols

• Demonstrated ability in Troubleshooting and providing Technical Support to diagnose and resolve IT issues

• Knowledge of IT infrastructure best practices and compliance requirements, particularly in government or secure environments

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent, are a plus

• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle dynamic workloads effectively

• Prior experience providing IT and systems support in government, defense, or national security environments is preferred
