Senior DevSecOps Engineer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer in United Arab Emirates.

In this role, you will operate at the intersection of engineering, architecture, and customer success, working directly with strategic enterprise clients to accelerate adoption of complex DevSecOps and AI-enabled platforms. You will translate real-world customer challenges into scalable technical solutions, helping organizations deploy and operate software systems in highly regulated and constrained environments. This position combines deep hands-on engineering with customer-facing problem solving, requiring both technical rigor and strong communication skills. You will design deployment architectures, build reusable technical assets, and guide enterprise teams through complex CI/CD, security, and compliance transformations. Working across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams, you will directly influence both customer outcomes and product evolution. This is a high-impact role where your work helps shape how large organizations adopt modern software delivery and AI workflows at scale.

Accountabilities

• Conduct deep technical discovery with strategic enterprise customers to assess architecture, constraints, and adoption opportunities
• Design and lead solution architecture for complex deployments across CI/CD, security, compliance, and AI-enabled workflows
• Build and deliver proof-of-concepts, prototypes, and reusable technical accelerators to support customer adoption
• Architect self-managed and enterprise-grade deployments, including runners, observability, access controls, and governance frameworks
• Translate recurring customer challenges into reusable assets such as reference architectures, runbooks, and technical design patterns
• Collaborate closely with customer stakeholders and internal teams to prioritize use cases based on business and technical impact
• Contribute to product and engineering discussions by identifying gaps and influencing upstream improvements when needed
• Support strategic customer engagements, including workshops and on-site or remote architecture sessions
  
  

Requirements

• Experience in software engineering, forward deployed engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting in customer-facing roles
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with the ability to understand and contribute to production systems (experience with Ruby on Rails and/or Go is a plus)
• Solid systems design and architecture expertise, including APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD pipelines, and security models
• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, YAML pipelines, runners, and GitLab APIs
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Helm
• Understanding of enterprise deployment challenges, including security boundaries, scalability, and observability
• Exposure to AI/LLM systems, agentic workflows, and orchestration patterns in production environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior technical and business stakeholders
• Ability to create reusable technical documentation and assets that scale beyond a single engagement
• Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving enterprise environments with evolving requirements
