It addresses the challenge of managing frontline operations that do not fit traditional desk-based workflows, replacing inefficient tools like spreadsheets and scattered communications with a unified platform. The company has a significant global presence, serving over 80,000 businesses and backed by substantial investment, enabling rapid worldwide expansion.


2. About the Opportunity:

The Payroll Manager will lead the management of the organization''s global payroll operations, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing across multiple countries including the US and Australia. This role is pivotal in maintaining seamless payroll functions during rapid growth and geographic expansion, working closely with HR and external vendors. The position is fully remote and offers the chance to influence payroll infrastructure and processes.


3. Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end payroll lifecycle for US, Australia, and other international locations via PEO partners

• Update and maintain employee payroll data including onboarding and terminations

• Verify timesheets, PTO, overtime, and other payroll data before submission

• Oversee payroll withholdings, benefits, and deductions handled by PEOs

• Collaborate with HR to resolve payroll discrepancies

• Manage transitions between PEO providers, including data migration and validation

• Review payroll reports and year-end tax forms for accuracy

• Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare journal entries in NetSuite

4. Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years experience in US and international payroll administration, preferably with PEOs

• Experience with major PEO providers such as ADP, Vensure, Insperity, TriNet, or Mazars

• Strong knowledge of US federal, state, and local payroll laws and tax regulations

• Experience managing multi-state payroll and compliance

• Interest or experience in using AI tools for payroll efficiency and data analysis

• Proficiency in Excel and payroll data reconciliation

• High attention to detail, confidentiality, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines

• Adaptability to fast-paced, global work environments


Nice-to-Have:

• Experience managing transitions between PEO providers


5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Salary range: $80,000 to $100,000 annually
