Market-Leading client in the midst of a huge period of change and transformation are looking to bolster their Infrastructure project delivery team with a skilled Infrastructure Engineer, with a strong blend of technical infrastructure experience. You will have demonstrable experience working with virtualised estates (VMware) and a breadth of experience across network, storage and telephony projects as well as across server operating systems, Citrix and firewalls.

The main activities within this assignment will be to review, assess, document, test, install/upgrade and improve the IT Infrastructure hardware, software and services to remediate infrastructure shortfalls and to align with best practices. You will work across multiple teams and building effective relationships with key stakeholders will be key to success in this role.

Required

As this is primarily a project focused infrastructure delivery role, an understanding of the full project lifecycle is required. Based on this, you will have prior experience of working on Infrastructure projects and across multiple project activities.Skills and Experience Required (blend of):

• Test, Install, maintain, upgrade and continuously improve IT Infrastructure hardware and software-Provide SME knowledge on technology infrastructure to support business led projects-Must be able to work through from documentation to implementation-Server Virtualisation (VMware ESX 6.5) estate management-Microsoft Azure experience preferentiak-Extensive experience supporting Office365 / O365, Windows and Citrix estates-Infrastructure design experience-Experience supporting a highly available Exchange estate -Experience of networking and firewalls-Knowledge of Windows / Linux / Solaris Operating Systems-Knowledge of Backup and Disaster Recovery technologies and methods-Telephony Systems background
