Serve as a key advisor to the Executive Vice President of Administration. Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Other duties may be assigned):
(50%) Facilities Leadership
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the Executive Vice President of Administration and provide overall leadership for facilities operations.
- Oversee facilities operations, maintenance, and campus infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant environments.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of capital projects, ensuring projects are completed on time and aligned with institutional needs.
- Manage relationships with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors; serve as the primary liaison during planning and construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS), state, and local regulations; coordinate required approvals, reporting, and documentation.
- Develop and implement long-range facility plans, including capital master planning and multi-year maintenance/refresh schedules.
- Represent the college in facilities-related matters internally and externally, including participation in WTCS Facilities groups and coordination with local/state entities.
- Participate in College committees.
- Be available on-call as needed.
- Support campus operations and events requiring facilities coordination.

- Develop, monitor, and manage departmental capital and operational budgets.
- Track expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets and organizational priorities.
- Analyze budget trends and provide recommendations for cost efficiencies and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with department leaders to support budget planning.
- Ensure compliance with institutional, state, and regulatory financial guidelines.
- Ensure the college adheres to internal and external safety, security, and risk-management requirements, including OSHA and accessibility standards.
- Oversee the campus security function, ensuring a strong program.
- Lead continuous improvement objectives related to safety audits, risk assessments, and business continuity planning.
- Manage responses to injury or accident reports and lead corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide support for insurance-related matters, including claims associated with property damage or safety incidents.
- Responsible for the direction, coordination, supervision, and performance management of team members.
- Set clear expectations by establishing roles, responsibilities and setting goals for team members.
- Monitor and assess performance, holding team members accountable, and providing ongoing feedback.
- Provide guidance and support through training, mentoring, and open communication.
- Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the College’s policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive college operations.
- Address and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise in a timely manner.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment encouraging teamwork and recognizing achievements.
- Develop team members by identifying strengths, creating development plans, and offering growth opportunities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a related discipline required.
- Eight to nine years of relevant occupational experience, with leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Strong accounting background required.
- Valid State of Wisconsin Driver’s License required.
KNOWLEDGE
